Odometer readings are an important part of a vehicle’s history because it indicates how much a vehicle has been driven, which can impact its condition and value. The last reported odometer reading shown on this report is the most recent record received by CARFAX Canada. The current odometer reading on the vehicle could be different from what’s reported here, so checking the physical odometer on the vehicle is the best way to verify the mileage.
This vehicle history report is based on information (https://www.carfax.ca/vehicle-history-data) that was reported and available to CARFAX Canada as of September 20, 2024 (or once all the data was collected from our data sources and the report was complete). CARFAX Canada draws on billions of data records from thousands of sources across North America, and we receive new historical data records every day. There may be other information about this vehicle that has not been reported to CARFAX Canada. When buying a used vehicle, we always recommend using a CARFAX Canada Vehicle History Report, along with a vehicle inspection and test drive, to make an informed decision.
There are many ways that a vehicle can sustain damage, but it typically falls into one of two categories: a motor vehicle accident (where the vehicle collides with another vehicle, a tree, an animal, etc.), or other damage which can include things like hail damage, fire, vandalism, etc. In either case, damage can range from minor (scratches, dings, etc.) to severe (broken axles, bent frame, etc.).
There are no accidents/damage reported on this vehicle.
In Canada, when a vehicle is registered with the Ministry of Transportation, “branding” is applied to classify the condition of the vehicle. Salvage, Rebuilt, Junk and Non-Repairable are examples of negative vehicle branding in Canada. In the U.S., when a vehicle is registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles, a “title” is applied to classify the condition of the vehicle. Salvage, Junk, Rebuilt, Fire, Flood, Hail and Lemon are examples of negative vehicle titles in the U.S. To understand more about each brand/title, refer to the glossary at carfax.ca/glossary.
This vehicle has been registered in the province of Ontario in Canada with Normal branding.
We checked for: Inspection Required, Normal, Non-repairable, Rebuilt, Salvage and Stolen.
Service history gives you an idea of how the vehicle was maintained and the type of condition that it's in. It's possible that service has occurred that is not captured here (for example, the owner may have performed regular oil changes in their garage, which wouldn't show on our reports). We always recommend having the vehicle inspected by a licensed mechanic so that they can assess how the vehicle has been maintained.

Recall notices are issued when the manufacturer or transportation authority detects a potential safety issue or defect with a group of vehicles. This section outlines any open (unfixed) safety recalls on the vehicle that have been reported to CARFAX Canada. Previous safety recalls that have already been fixed (closed) will not show in this section.
Recall Description
General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2020 - 2024 model year Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty (2500/3500 series) and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty (2500/3500 series) vehicles in the US and Canada, and certain 2020 - 2023 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 series and GMC Sierra 1500 series vehicles in Canada, equipped with power-unlatching tailgates. Under certain conditions water may intrude into these vehicles’ tailgates and come into contact with the electronic gate-release switch, potentially causing a short circuit. The gate may inadvertently unlatch while the vehicle is in Park. If the driver does not manually close the gate before beginning a drive, cargo in the bed of the truck may exit the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. Until the recall is completed, owners should check that the tailgate closed and latched before driving.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the exterior touchpad switch assemblies.

Recall Description
General Motors has decided that certain 2021 – 2024 model year Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, and GMC Sierra, Yukon/Yukon XL, and Cadillac Escalade/ Escalade ESV, vehicles may not conform to section 19 (a) of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) No. 108, “Lighting Systems and Reflective Devices”. The standard requires lower-beam headlamps to automatically activate in less than two seconds when the ambient light outside the vehicle is less than 1,000 lux in certain conditions. In these vehicles, automatic headlamp activation may be delayed for a short period of time in certain conditions. During that time, the vehicle could be less visible, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
General Motors will update the software in the vehicles’ Body Control Module (BCM) to correct the condition. Owners who have accepted applicable terms and conditions will have the opportunity to accept these software changes using wireless over-the-air (OTA) technology without having to bring their vehicle to a dealership. Alternatively, owners may schedule to have the updates performed at a GM dealer.

Recall Description
General Motors has decided that certain vehicles listed above may not conform to sections (19), (28), and (30)(c) of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) No. 108, “Lighting Systems and Reflective Devices”. The standard requires daytime running lights (DRLs) to be active if the vehicles are operated at the prescribed speed or have traveled the prescribed distance, unless lower beam headlamps are activated. Lower beam headlamps should automatically reactivate at a prescribed lux value during dark/night conditions. In these vehicles, both the DRLs and lower beam headlamps may not activate under the prescribed conditions when the manual lighting switch is in OFF or PARKING LAMP mode. During that time, the vehicle could be less visible, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the software in the vehicles’ Body Control Module (BCM) to correct the condition.

If the vehicle is currently reported as stolen, we’ll let you know in this section. If the vehicle was previously stolen (at any point during its life) and was recovered, it won’t be reflected here.
