An estimate record is generated when a vehicle is taken to a repair facility to assess how much it will cost to fix the damage. The estimate sometimes happens a few days after the incident, which is why the date of the estimate may be different than the incident date.

If the cost of the repair is put through insurance, there could be an associated insurance claim. Note that the insurance claims identified in this report do not include any medical pay-outs, damage to other vehicles, damage to property, towing, rental cars or any other incidental damages.
