Recall Description
General Motors has decided to conduct a voluntary emissions recall involving certain 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD/5500HD/6500HD vehicles equipped with a 6.6L diesel engine. These vehicles may be equipped with an improperly functioning on-board emission-related diagnostic system that violates California and Federal standards and regulations.

Remedy
Dealers are to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) with corrected software.

Recall Description
General Motors has decided that certain 2019-2020 model year Chevrolet Medium Duty 4500HD/5500HD/6500HD vehicles fail to conform to S5.3.1(c) of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 105, Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems. If the vehicles body control module (BCM) loses communication with the vehicles electronic brake control module (EBCM), the vehicles ABS malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) will not illuminate as required by FMVSS 105. If the vehicles BCM loses communication with the EBCM, the vehicles service-engine-soon MIL will illuminate.

Remedy
Dealers will update the software calibration for the body control module (BCM).
